ss for obama
In 1996, Colin Powell cited his family's fears of an assassination attempt when he announced he would not run for the White House.
Jesse Jackson said he received a steady stream of death threats when he ran for president in 1984, most of which were expressed in racist terms.am i the only person who thinks it is crazy to question a man for wanting security?
for heaven's sake, he is the only black man running this. even don imus said he got hate mail for supporting obama, imagine what obama is getting!
for most high powered officials, it is absolutely necessary to have security and i couldn't agree more with the added protection from the secret service for mr. obama. this morning while getting ready for work, i heard on the news that he has requested this attention due to the online threats and racist threats/comments made to him; he felt threatened (as any man would) and needed protection. i would have done the same thing.his wife, michelle, stated that this only shows that they are at the next level in his political career. so true. so true, indeed. the only other candidate to have this level of security this early in the election process is hilary clinton and that is only because it carries over from her time as first lady.

Oh lord. This world is crazy. I hope nothing happens.
One would think that in the 21st century we would've rised above racism, but nope!
Well, we knew it would happen eventually right? Obama is more of a threat than my beloved brother Nimpsey, I mean Jesse, ever was so trust that there are some rubes out there oiling up their rifles..."just in case that nigra ends up in the big chair."
