new things
hey friends.
sorry i have been away - i've been memorial day celebrating, vacation planning, and just straight up partying. this upcoming weekend is a short vacation weekend - so nonetheless, this weekend is going to be exciting b/c i'm going to south beach! yay...
i have picked up another hobby- photography.. i just bought a nikon d40 which i love, love, love! i would put some pics of my friend on here, but i need his permission first. so for now, please check out the one photos i can upload :) if you want to see more, i'll send you a link to my gallery (i am a beginner folks! if you don't like, that's cool - i'm open to criticism.) on the blog, it's just plants for now - so don't be mad if i'm not quite a gordon parks. lol - right now i'm just thinking that my personal pics are like people with their kids... we all think our own kids are cute (or future kids for me ;)). peace out.

I think they are beautiful shots. Though I'm no expert in photography, the feelings of peace and serenity appear to be conveyed in your shots.

1st of all, I am mad that you just got a Nikon D40. I just added this to my list of must haves. I was online pricing them Sunday.
Did you get a good deal & did you get any accessories?
I too am a novice & only have a pretty nice point & shoot so I hope to be on you level soon.
Anyway, nice shoots, especially the Hostas. I think a nice Gaussian blur in the far background would send this shot over the top.
All of the shots have great clarity!
